The second DRIVER+ Trial took place on 24 and 25 October 2018 at the premises of Entente Valabre, close to the French city of Aix-en-Provence.

The aim of Trial 2 was to assess to which extent innovative solutions could improve cooperation and coordination between different organisations and agencies from different countries in a large-scale crisis situation.

The scenario involved a large forest fire in southern France, threatening nearby towns and an industrial chemical plant.

Four solutions have been trialed :

  • CrisisSuite (developed by Merlin Software)
  • Life-X COP (developed by Frequentis)
  • MDA Command & Control (developed by MDA Israel)
  • Social Media Analysis Processing (developed by Thales Communication & Security)

The trial also allowed to continue assessing the DRIVER+ Test-bed and methodology.
